Established in 2022, the School of Medicine at Injibara University has rapidly emerged as a cornerstone of medical education and healthcare excellence within the institution. Launched with a small but determined team of one specialist and ten general practitioners, the school has grown remarkably in a short period.
Today, the faculty includes 13 assistant professors serving as consultants at Injibara General Hospital, as well as 7 residents pursuing specialization at various universities. The School proudly welcomed its inaugural cohort of 40 passionate medical students, laying the foundation for a dynamic future where education, clinical practice, and community service are seamlessly integrated. Currently, the School serves 142 undergraduate students.
The curriculum at the School of Medicine is thoughtfully designed to deliver a balanced blend of comprehensive theoretical knowledge and robust clinical training. Emphasizing applied medical sciences and the integration of advanced medical technologies, the program equips graduates with the skills needed to address modern healthcare challenges effectively.
A key pillar of the School’s success is its strategic partnership with Injibara General Hospital, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to academic excellence, clinical service, and the holistic development of future healthcare professionals. Through this partnership, students gain invaluable hands-on experience in real clinical settings, fostering both competence and compassion.
Reflecting its commitment to growth and excellence, the School now boasts a diverse team of 14 specialists across various medical disciplines. This expansion enhances the breadth and depth of its educational programs and clinical services, further contributing to the improvement of healthcare in the region.
